2024 Creative Youth Awards Review Panel:
38 Bay Area Award-Winning Writers and Filmmakers, Celebrated Artists and Musicians, and Esteemed Educators and Curators

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA (February 23, 2024) - The Bay Area Creative Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2019, recognizes artistic expression and encourages community support for high school artists in the San Francisco, Bay Area through its annual awards recognition program, the Creative Youth Awards.
The Bay Area Creative Foundation (BACF) is awarding $100,000 to Bay Area high school artists through the 2024 Creative Youth Awards. All eligible applicants will receive a Masterclass membership and will be featured in the online Creative Gallery.
Submissions in seven categories - creative writing, dance, film, music performance, original music, photography and visual art - are reviewed by a jury of Bay Area fine artists, arts professionals, and educators; all experts in their fields. This year’s panel includes 38 award-winning writers and filmmakers, celebrated artists and musicians, and esteemed educators, curators and arts professionals.
“Core to the Bay Area Creative Foundation’s mission of celebrating, cultivating and inspiring creativity in youth is applying professionalism, equity and rigor to the review process of our student’s submissions to the Creative Youth Awards. Each year, our team curates Bay Area judges who are leaders in their respective artistic fields - so that they may bring their expertise to thoughtfully reviewing each of our seven art categories,” said BACF Executive Director, Lani Rovzar. “We believe that exposure to and feedback from creative professionals provides needed encouragement to youth at a formative time. Recognizing the efforts of these young artists can bolster lifelong creativity, ideation and innovation.”
