The Games We Play

I am a girl. I am Asian. I am the child of immigrants. But I am never just myself. In The Games We Play, I narrate my life through a triptych of poems, using childhood games as metaphors to show how societal standards and expectations stripped me, along with countless others, of our childhood naivety. There is no one culprit to blame for this universal robbery, and I explore my journey coming to terms with my past, present, and future the only way I know how; by weaving a web of words.

Creativity means freedom to explore oneself and the world around you through an open lens and mind. It means an appreciation of life, artwork, and love for uncovering the unknown.
