The Beauty of Perception

Your perception informs reality. Within the ever-changing mosaic of my identity, I discovered that understanding myself is not about finding a singular, static identity but instead embracing the transient, multifaceted essence of simply being. The matted hair and introspective gaze reveal a raw, unguarded moment of vulnerability where I struggle to reconcile my identity and who I perceive myself to be. Vivid, primary colors create a stark contrast against the face, emphasizing the tension between visceral, unfiltered emotion and the human urge to categorize and define the indefinable. The camera symbolizes my perspective of myself, in which my identity is formed by the deliberate selection of amplified and damped traits. The fragmented facial features capture my complex, constantly shifting identity through different moments and selves. And through the journey of finding myself, I discover an inherent beauty in my unresolved wholeness.

Creativity is the art of being present. It is the art of being able to simply immerse myself in the moment and notice the smaller subtly beautiful details that are often overlooked in the consumerism and hustle culture of the modern world.
