Procreate, chalk

• Artist Statement

  This piece depicts a man making street art where his younger self used to draw on with chalk. It's supposed to show how people find comfort in connecting with their childhood. For the art process, I used Procreate on my iPad. I started with simple shapes to plan out the buildings and street. I rendered them and added the extra objects and eventually the man and his younger self. I drew the street art in Procreate and drew the chalk drawing with real chalk on concrete and uploaded it to the digital piece.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me just means being able to make whatever I want even if it has no real meaning. It means I can just make art to express what I enjoy.
