Writing, specifically creative writing, has always been important to me. Before I was old enough to read and write, my parents would read books to me at night to help me fall asleep. Then, in second grade, I learned that I could create stories myself.
I painstakingly erased and rewrote the name of the main character on every page of the story I had been writing in my notebook into “I” the day my teacher told me what the first-person perspective was. The fact that I could write a fantastical story as if I were the character the story was happening to instantly enthralled me.
The First-person perspective was only the beginning. Imagery, dialogue, and loveable characters can work together and combine to create an immersive reading experience that practically transports the readers into the stories themselves. Through the power of words, people can become wizards, aliens, or girls with high school drama. Anyone can be anything they want, and there's no limit because the creativity of humans is infinite; there are always new characters to be made and new stories to be told.
That’s what I truly love about Creative writing– it is a way to bring magic to life.

Expressing my creativity allows me to go beyond what is there physically and gives me the ability to create things that otherwise would not exist; like a form of magic. This makes me happy and more satisfied with my life.
