Bring Me Back

This piece "Bring Me Back" is an improvisation I did back when I was dealing with grief of someone I loved. It wasn't intended to be a composition, but rather my method of coping. Music has always been an outlet and this piece represents my voice and my desire when I was trying to find my breath again. The repeated motif at the beginning represents a desire. It represents the denial and the guilt, but also the fact that life goes on and my longing to go back never gets fulfilled. The middle section represents the memories. memories that last forever and keep me going.

Creativity and expression to me can look like a piece of visual art or a performance. My definition of art is something that makes someone feel something. That is also how I define artistic perfection. Art for me is used as an extension of myself. It's a piece of me shared to others.
