Company

Two competitive high school students find themselves spending more time together than usual, which may result in a friendship...or more. Maisie and Parker are both academic stars who spend the majority of their lives working hard and striving to be the best. However, one thing that’s better than being the best, is beating your rival. Maisie and Parker compete in every aspect possible, which leaves a lot of tension between them. However, they only see each other as hardworking students. Maisie and Parker have no idea what happens behind the scenes of all that effort and motivation. When both of them end up desperately volunteering at the same event, many thoughts and emotions are brought into light. Company is a simple, heartwarming script that displays tension in teenage lives that we normally don't get to see. My script is the perfect way to show the toll that work takes on a teenager, and also just exhibit the behind the scenes of ideal teenage students.

Animal instincts

Humans are complex beings and they can be many things at once, they can have and evoke a variety of different emotions. We often like to separate ourselves from animals and put our selves on a pedestal but in reality we are much like them but we refuse to admit this. This piece is meant to depict that us humans and animals are alike and we are both complex beings that could come to an understanding where we do not treat them as outsiders and treat them how they deserve to be treated.

How Did You Two Survive Quarantine

Timber and Blare, two roommates, are interviewed to recall their time together as strangers. Answering questions such as their first meeting. Bantering about their issues with each other in the beginning. To finding out new thing about each other. Eventually they form a dynamic, Timber buying groceries while Blare cooks. In the ending, the interviewer asked if the two roommates survived quarantine and they responded with an obvious answer.

This script is unique because it’s relevant to what’s happening right now with COVID-19. It'll want you to see how two strangers with different personalities and interests can become great friends and roommates under certain circumstances. This script also has comedic scenes between the main characters.

The Walsh’s

This is a short film following my grandparents in the moments right before the quarantine. As their granddaughter, I am able to visit their home and there has always been something special about it. I wanted to share their charm and goofiness with the world. I also made it for them as a thank you gift for being so loving and involved in my life.

Introduction and Havanaise

The pandemic has been hard on everyone's life, include myself. This violin solo piece that is written and performed by me, is an effort to express the struggle, frustration, longing and hope for our daily life interrupted by Covid-19. I started writing the piece on Sibelius software, but then when I recorded the piece, it kind of transformed and merged into totally different sounds--kind of like our situation right now; rather unpredictable. Therefore I don't have a music score to submit, only the recording.

When Words Fail from Shrek the Musical

Musical theater is my passion, and one of my favorite shows is Shrek the Musical. I think it offers a really nice range of characters that differ from the norm, as well as a really well written score. As Shrek is a role I aspire to play at some point in time, I chose to perform his comedic ballad “When Words Fail”. In the show, he sings this as he is working up the courage to give Princess Fiona—whom he has a crush on—a flower. While the piece mainly highlights my acting ability, I think it shows my musical ability as well.

Digital photograph inspired by Renaissance paintings. In this self portrait, I worked with the exposure time, capturing a light trail coming from my face. I want to give the viewer a look into my soul and get to know me and how I see the world.
