Demons Have Feelings Too
When George wakes up in an empty room and finds out he’s in Purgatory, he thinks this can't get any weirder. But then he learns his next stop is an interview with the demon of hell himself. The Secretary of the afterlife tells him all about Hell, and it doesn’t really add up to your typical depiction of death. Lucifer isn’t even that mean!
Dejarte Ir
This song is an original written earlier this year, inspired by the addictive pulse of reggaeton and melded with my singer-songwriter style. Reggaeton is feel-good, even when the theme is laced with longing. It is played on acoustic guitar in a café-style live performance.
Valse Op. 64, No. 2 by Chopin
This is a waltz in C# minor by Chopin. The moment I heard this piece, I was entranced by the mystery, longing, and deep emotion emanating from each measure. Instantly, I knew I had to learn it! Today, I hope to share this piece with you and evoke the impassioned yearning and love that arise in me every time I hear the piece.
Fiery sunset upon Mt. Tam
This photo is the epitome of Bay Area Sunsets. The layering of the clouds highlights the movement above the brightly colored sun setting and the giant mountain. The scene reminds me that not everything is permanent and all the temporary, small problems in life shouldn’t be dwelled on because like sunsets, life is short, and should be enjoyed.
Built Different
When Lyric has to pick her high and intoxicated friend, Raven, up from a night of partying, she is less than thrilled. Jealous of her friend's success, Lyric sparks an argument between the two on the ride home. The argument shifts, however, when Lyric begins to reveal her inner anxieties surrounding her life and her future.
(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay
Here is my rendition of Otis Redding's “(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay” - Vocal + guitar
Remember
When a lonely college student is confronted by her ex-boyfriend at a house party, she is forced to deny all of the dark secrets he reveals about her. Remember is a drama about a college student, Alexis, who runs into some challenges after she is abandoned by her friend and left to navigate a college house party by herself.
While getting a drink, Alexis is introduced to a young man named Cameron, who she kindly greets and moves on. Cameron, however, starts asking her questions about why she isn’t admitting to knowing him. Alexis is left to deny everything Cameron says and hopes he stops talking. Almost immediately, Cameron gets angered and aggressively tries to jog Alexis’ memory, all the while, people at the party begin to listen and stare. Alexis yells for him to stop and leave her alone, to which he ignores. Cameron proceeds to yell out all of Alexis’ darkest secrets for everybody at the party to hear. Clearly unstable, Cameron continues screaming and Alexis tries to deny his claims so that she can leave. By the end, with tears streaming down her face and all eyes on her, she finally admits to knowing Cameron and with very few words, confirms the claims that he makes against her as true, leaving everyone around them in utter shock.
This emotional story will pull you in and never let go. As audiences root for Alexis, tension builds as to what she’ll say next. Remember is unpredictable, suspenseful, and one of a kind. With relatable and distressed main characters, Remember is a drama for everyone to enjoy.
Behind The Fog
This image was taken in Portugal. It is overlooking a cliff side village by the ocean on a cloudy, muggy day. I found that the similarity to all the buildings creates almost a calming affect when looked at.
Lion & Oranges
Drawing: The drawing is a lion on scratch paper. I scratched away the back to create the image.
Mixed Media: The mixed media is an orange still life created by stippling with pen and adding some shading with pencil.
The People in Your Head
The shy high school student, Evelyn, has the ability to bring whoever she imagines to life. When a stranger she creates is the cause of the disappearance of her good friend, her brother finds a way to rid her of her guilt. He takes her to a new school, which means a new reputation and a brand new start. Will she be successful in her attempts to finally use her powers for good, or will the new friends she creates bring total disaster?
This story is a powerful statement and lesson in self-confidence, and that you don’t have to be afraid to speak up for what you believe in. Its comedic moments and magical premise keep it light and fun while still being firmly grounded in reality at its core.
Jeff Beck Cover
The first video is a Jeff Beck cover by our four piece band at Banana’s At Large in San Rafael.
The second video is one of our original songs: Unlucky, performed at the Cornerstone Brewery in Berkeley.
Cotton Candy
I was inspired by the many sunset posts I saw on social media. I grabbed my camera, trying to capture the perfect angle. It wasn’t until this photo that I was able to catch a glimpse of the moon.
Animal Crossing
“Animal Crossing” is a comedic-styled short script that emcompasses the horrors of being walked in on during zoom with a problematic man-child husband prone to temper tantrums. Diane and Jake have faced many problems in the marriage so far, but when cooped up in a studio apartment and forced to live there for the better half of a year, things reach a new level.
