Psychedelic Skateboard
I have been working on my psychedelic skateboard for over a month. I have been doing smaller paintings of my style of artwork and since I love to skate I had decided to put it on a bigger canvas. I have gotten so many compliments about my skateboard that I have been wanting to do more of them, and to sell them.
ill thought
ill thought portrays a deep intrusive thought that slowly melts one's identity, making it hard to believe what is real and what is not. I was inspired by the movie, I'm thinking of ending things which has lots of hidden meaning and motifs of inner thoughts. The medium I used is gouache on bristol paper.
We Need Justice
This piece is inspired by the powerful fight against racial injustice which has swept over our country after the unjustifiable and terrible deaths of black citizens at the hands of police officers. I was deeply moved by the strength and force which continues to radiate from the Black Lives Matter Movement as well as its protests and I wanted to capture this in my work. The dimensions are 4ft x 4ft and the materials that I used were acrylic paint, construction paper, spray paint, cardboard, pen ink, and a wood board for my canvas. Both of the female figures are done in paint and the protest signs are cut out paper with handwritten slogans.
Takeout? Again?
This piece was influence by the unequal distribution of resources around our world. Often times in our Western society, we consider take out as a mundane meal. In reality, we are extremely fortunate to have this type of ready access to food, as many live in poverty. This can be shown through the hands, cutlery, flowers, and take out boxes resting on a table top composed of images of starving and impoverish children. The dimensions are 2ft x 4ft and the materials I used are acrylic paint, collage images, real take out boxes, and a plywood board for my canvas.
